The relationship between entrepreneurship and addiction is complex.
Being an entrepreneur can make you more susceptible to or amplify your addictive behaviours. For many people, the traits which make them such successful entrepreneurs are the same traits that can lead them to harmful behaviours like substance and alcohol abuse.

This research paper looks to determine the relationship between entrepreneurship and addiction. The results of the study confirm that entrepreneurs do show signs of addictive behaviour such as obsessive thoughts, withdrawal-condensation period, and negative emotion.
This is a slightly heavier read but provides an interesting comparison between entrepreneurship addiction and those with a gambling addiction.
