On masculinity, the effects of patriarchy and how it affects men’s mental health with Jamie Clements

“But where is that coming from? Why is that a thing? Why is it maybe a man thing, I actually, the more I talk about it, the more I personally think on this topic, I tend to talk about it more as a patriarchy thing than a man thing. I think this is, you know, the negative impacts of patriarchy on male, female, non-binary, are significant and vast. And I think that that's where the problem really lies.”.

Jamie Clements is the founder of the successful podcast Man Down which explores the subject of masculinity and vulnerability. As an entrepreneur and a man who has experienced his own mental health struggles, Jamie Clements discusses with our host Nektarios Liolios how men’s mental health is a complex subject and cannot be seen in isolation but within the wider context of a patriarchal system.
